Reports suggest Israel discussed the use of human shields during operations to clear Gaza tunnels potentially lined with explosives. Speaking with FRANCE 24’s Mark Owen, Joel Carmel, Advocacy Director at Breaking the Silence, says that a reckoning is necessary not only to bring justice for Palestinians but also for Israelis ‘to take a good look at what happened here and understand how we got to doing the most atrocious things’.
