we couldn’t say a word.
The outpost at Pnei Hever was right next to the settlement itself. So, like at every settlement, the children hung out inside the army outpost. Because it's a given that kids of settlers are allowed in anywhere, so the kids would come at Purim (Jewish high holiday) and play inside the bunker. I definitely remember *** grabbing a kid like this, by the ear, because he went into the bunker tent and took out a hand grenade. A grenade! Everyone was going ‘Happy holiday! Happy holiday!’ and he comes along, goes into the tent, that's a bit too much… And of course, we couldn’t say a word.
Did anyone try to say anything to them, or talk about it with the commanders? Not as far as I know.
