There are few incidents of violence that are so blatant and loads and loads of incidents of violence that's already- you don’t even notice it. Say someone is trying to enter the street (where the soldiers are) with his car. Now, he could do a detour and he feels like making a scene by entering with the car. So you tell him once, twice, like a decent human being. You’re also with a face mask and with a weapon, you look scary. He doesn’t listen to you and he insists, so you just grab him by the shirt, lift him up and tell him: Listen, like, get the fuck out of here. And that’s the language. That’s the language there (in Hebron) and that’s the only way things work. We had a joke that as a soldier you don’t really need to learn the Arabic, you just need to shout really loudly and then they’ll understand.
