"Breaking the Silence" Photo Exhibition

Breaking the Silence began in 2004 with an exhibition of photographs taken and presented by veteran soldiers who had served during the Second Intifada and had documented their service in the occupied territories - particularly in Hebron. The photos were accompanied by testimonies of the soldiers' experiences throughout their service.

Breaking the Silence continues to present this exhibition to this day. It documents the daily reality of military control over a civilian population through photos and soldiers' testimonies that have been collected by the organization over the years.

The exhibition is always guided by a former soldier who had served in the territories and has given a testimony to Breaking the Silence. Through the photos that are displayed, the guides share their personal stories from their respective military service.
