In Hebron there's the main street, Shuhada Street, there's a checkpoint where they [the Palestinians] can come in and out, where they're checked. My friends would always strip them, not letting them in even though they had entry permits. It doesn't matter what or with which positive approach they arrived, they simply didn't let them in without a security check which bordered on humiliation.

What does 'stripped them' mean? Stripping means the person comes, he shows you an ID, you have to do a minimal security check and let him in. If he isn't a suspect and if he doesn’t express intent to harm you or, god forbid, do something – then you don't have to do it [strip him]. But because they're Arabs, because they're Palestinians and to begin with they're not okay and they're not good and whatever, when they would arrive there was this thing of who’s more manly, and who carries out a more humiliating security check, who aims his weapon and comes and threatens more and who comes and shouts more and talks in Arabic and degrades and doesn't treat these people seriously, as he should. This wasn't physical violence it more bordered humiliation. If they're with their children so you strip the father in front of the kids. It could also get to the point that you take him out back, strip him, take off his shirt, take off his pants, don't let his kid through, don't do anything so that he won't see these things, it was always before his eyes. The kids see everything, always. People are delayed for hours. We get on the two-way radio, run his ID [number] through, he could stay there for two hours at least.
