In the first session of “Occupation 101: The Settlement enterprise” we will examine different Israeli government strategic plans for the West Bank from 1967 to today. We will focus on the question of how Israel controls the West Bank, as well as the question of how the map of the West Bank developed – that is, what strategies, policies, and decisions led to the fragmentation of the West Bank that we see today. We will see this through examining the history of the settlement enterprise and the intentions that lay behind different building plans for settlements and outposts and their influence on Palestinian life and the future of Palestinian territory.
Featuring Yehuda Shaul, co-founder of Breaking the Silence.
Hosted by our friends at @jstreetdotorg
